About us

Why do we do what we do…

Approximately 14 million High School Students attend school in America, and of that number, nearly 70 percent in California have never attended a youth group or a church.

Is it surprising that many students say they really don’t know or feel they have a purpose in life?

Despite the technology of the “Information Age” and the prevalence of social media, some societal experts say, “They (our youth) are more connected but never more alone.”

The Bible is no longer the moral compass and it seems that young people are making up their own minds as to what is right or wrong. Without a moral compass, i.e., the Bible, to bring identity to people, we have a generation careening towards destruction. There also seems to be a growing divide between the secular youth culture and the church.

  • It’s not that high school students today don’t want Jesus, they have never heard of Jesus”

    — Founder of One Voice Student Missions, Brian Barcelona.

  • “We once asked a group of some 100 students at a Campus Life Event, how many of them attended a church or youth group. Only 10 or so students raised their hands.”

BStronglife Founder and President Pastor Ralph Hernandez

  • “BStronglife is dedicated to bringing students into a relationship with Christ to set them on a sound and firm path for life success. We do this by investing into our local high schools and by partnering with churches, organizations, and individuals who have the same heart and passion for teens”

BStronglife Founder and President Pastor Ralph Hernandez

With much chaos in our nation and the world, people are looking for answers and young people are looking for those who can bring truth, wisdom, a plan for life success, and most importantly, much-needed hope. When students and their families are not attending church or even introduced to a life of faith or the Bible, society remains ignorant and under the influence of those who do not have their best interests at heart. We know that a great number of students and their families are not being reached with the gospel, nor do the parents or students find a church or faith relevant in their lives.

God is changing our perspective on reaching young people, by taking the church to the public high school campus. It’s imperative that church leaders see that the “new youth group” is not necessarily made up of only the sons and daughters of those adults attending your church, but your youth group can be built by going out to your public high school.
